Overview of HIPSTER INC Moqup Homepage Design

This is the overview of the moqup before the Hipster Incorporated website was designed. The moqup allows for brainstorming and to have an outline before the homepage was designed. Our client wanted to have a simple website that would be clear and concise to the customers. They also wanted to have pictures and videos showing the company's work so customers can see what the outcome of the projects look like. Having a navigation bar at the top was significantly important to our client representing where to find the detailed information on the website. In addition, they wanted to have the color scheme from the logo portrayed in the website as it illustrates nature, adventure, and optimism.

Logo and Logo Usage for HISPTER INC.

A hippie bus/van was chosen to represent the company's image to promote traveling. On the side of the van a pencil, a ruler, and a paint brush in a cup is shown to illustrate the design aspect of the company. The background of the logo is a forest which signifies nature and an adventurous life style of traveling the world. The overall theme represents creativity, design, and travel.

Reinventing this logo in any shape or form would go against company guidelines and would lead to major consequences. The colors should not be changed in any manner as the original colors used represent the company's identity. Changes made to the font of the logo also go against the company's written policy. Distortion of this logo in any way will result in an immediate fine. There is no written agreement offered that would allow anyone to take this corporate logo and make it into their own. The following example is a representation of the logo being taken out of context and altered, which is a violation of the guidelines.

Sources of Inspiration

This image is a sticker of a hippie van illustrating the colors beige and teal. This sticker was used as a source of inspiration for the Hipster Incorporated logo as their logo represents the colors teal and beige as well. This picture has a boho aesthetic to it, which is what Hipster Incorporated strives for. Also, the the company added a window to the van in their logo, which this is where the idea came from.

This image shows a camper van with a view of a mountain range behind it. This picture was used a source of inspiration when designing the Hipster Incorporated website page. The mountain range behind this image is similar to what you see in the video on their website. This illustrates where the company is located on the West Coast and the possible places customers may end up at when they travel.

This is an image of the The Mystery Machine van in the movie Scooby Doo. The van was used a source of inspiration from the overall outline of the van. The company's van logo is also faced to the left and outlined a similar way to how the windshield and lights are placed at the front of the vehicle. The color orange was also an inspiration to the color's in the company's logo.

On the Newsweek website, a video can be played before you read the information underneath it. This is what Hipster Incorporated's website wanted to feature in it. Our client's website has a video to show an explanation of what the company does to give client's a visual before reading the information. This is exactly what this website did.

The GO RVING website represents a great source of inspiration to the Hipster Incorporated website design. As this image shows a title over a desert mountain range, that is what our client wanted to do with their video. On our client's website, they placed a title over the video as well, receiving the idea from this image shown.

The DOWNTOWN CDC website was also used as a source of inspiration for the design homepage on Hipster Incorporated's website. On the CDC website, they placed the navigation bar stretching at the top of their webpage, which is where our client wanted to place theirs as well. Also, in this image, the logo is placed in the top left corner before the following navigation tabs. That is what our client decided to do regarding their own navigation bar.
